According to the Marana Police Department, officers were dispatched around 5 p.m. after reports of a shooting at a residence. When first responders arrived, they located Mikaela Durfey in the driveway of the home suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. Authorities later identified 37-year-old Brian Schnurr, her ex-husband, as the suspect in the shooting. Police quickly began searching for him after he fled the area in a blue Dodge Challenger.
